Rooms exist for different reasons and Room 88 exists for one reason.

Strangers arrive carrying things they’ve never said out loud. They come with grief and some with guilt. Some of them are angry and others are broken.

There are those who don’t even know why they’re there. All they know is they can’t keep living the way they have been.

Waiting for them is Layi, a man who has spent years helping people untangle the knots in their lives while struggling to untangle the ones in his.

He listens, he probes deeper, he takes them on a journey that unravels the mysteries that have left their hearts heavy.

Every chapter of Room 88 will tell the story of a different person with a different wound in search of clarity with the hope of healing.

Some of the stories may trigger you because they feel strangely familiar.

You may be pulled in to the point that will make you question the choices you will make if you find yourself in the same situation.

I have experienced life and people in so many ways. I have observed people in situations that have made me sigh deeply and made me grateful that I don’t have their experiences.

Not every story in this series will lead to a solution. I’m not writing about perfect people or happy endings. I’m writing about life as it happens in real time.
