The Holiday Edit – My Christmas Style Edit

In my head, I have been invited to all these parties and I have an outfit for each of them..

I’m not so much of a party person but when I do decide to show up to one, I go with all my heart and you’d hardly believe I’m an introvert.

House parties are always the best and I’ve put together outfits for all the parties I haven’t been invited to this Christmas and so won’t be attending

These looks will look great on almost every body type and of cos I had my plus size ladies in mind when I was putting them together.

Apart from the shoes, I’d tell you my next favorite fashion item in each look. Enjoy

LOOK 1

Everything about the dress screams sexy in a not so revealing way. It’s in my favorite color and the long sleeves are there to cover my not so flattering arms.

I assume it’s just the right length, a little above the knee, cut to forgive my mummy tummy and doesn’t cling to the skin but just falls right off it. What’s not to love???

House party 1 is most likely a family friend’s party and we’re close like that, I’d dance on a table or on their sofa with this one…

LOOK 2

It’s difficult to say what my next favorite thing is with this outfit, but I’d go with the pants. The only type of pants I’d wear comfortably will be these ones with the pleats at the waist line. They were made for my mummy tummy.

With these pants, I can tuck my blouse in nicely. One tip when buying a pair of trousers like this is to buy a size bigger so it gives enough room. It’s always well tailored, so you don’t have to worry about the fit. One size up will do the trick .

With the details on the purse here, you can tell I’m going to this party for the drinks, canapés and light banter. Sit really pretty with my eyes popping.

LOOK 3

If you don’t find an outfit with a pair of jeans in my look book, then I didn’t create it. Not just a pair of jeans, a rebellious pair as these ones, cut out at the sides. Definitely my next best thing after the Manolo Blahnik mules.

Best thing about this party is that I organized it or I’m at least one of the organizers. It is my party and I will do anyhow I please, at the same time ensuring that everyone has a fantastic time.

I wouldn’t wear a bustier alone, so the blazer completes the entire look. Highlight again, the pair of jeans…

LOOK 4

Between the paper bag shorts and the contrasting blue accessories, I don’t know what I like the most. The entire look is a win for me.

And to my plus size ladies, paper bag pants or shorts were made for you just like the big pleat ones. Both cut to hide that kangaroo pouch.

I escorted someone to this house party, I wasn’t directly invited. Buttttt, I’d definitely be getting a direct invite to their next party because I’d have warmed my way into the hosts’ heart

LOOK 5

Everyone who knows me well knows this is my go to skirt style, pleated skirts and for obvious reasons too. This is such a ‘Jay look’…

This is a church Carol dinner. Don’t worry about the cut out on the blouse, the band of the skirt would be pulled up enough to cover it… Lol!

Chic church girl, I’d take a worship song and drink any non alcoholic wine served. Oh, and  “Hark The Herald Angels Sing” has to be on the list of carols.

LOOK 6

To be honest, this is not very me, but I love structured jumpsuits and I think I’d manage to pull this one off, maybe not so effortlessly but I’d try.

It would require a lot of holding and binding, so get your best spanx out to get the most from this outfit.

Knowing that I won’t be so comfortable, I’d sit at the far end of the room and observe everyone, analyzing everything going on there and just enjoy the view.

It would most likely be a setting where I’m not very familiar with the people in attendance so I don’t have to worry about being noticed. Except of cos for my dope look

LOOK 7

This is my best friend’s house party and my mission is to be a hoodlum. Dance to naira marley, eat plenty spicy chicken and drink to stupor.

My only prayer is that I don’t have to pee after all the drinking because I don’t trust that I’d make it to the bathroom and succeed in getting out of that jumpsuit quickly enough…

This look is fun, flirty and comfortable and I love it. Again, for a jumpsuit as this, go a size up so it’s not hugging every inch of your body.

LOOK 8

Disclaimer: This is NOT ME, this is my tall and slim thick friend that we’d be attending another friend’s party together.

I love the look, the pants are my favorite thing, but those pants weren’t made for me and I’m not even mad.

Sooo, these are the looks I’d not be serving this Christmas. Which one is your favorite? Which one do you think you can pull off effortlessly.

I honestly can’t pick out a favorite, in my head, they’re all perfect and appropriate for their own purpose.

How many invites do you have for the holiday? Are you party ready?

I’d be back again with another ‘HOLIDAY EDIT’

Until then, it’s your look book Queen on this style edit for the Christmas holiday.
